Half steps are ideal for people with limited mobility, older adults, and those recovering from surgery, helping them safely navigate doorways and higher steps. By reducing the height from the ground to the step or threshold, they make each step easier to manage, improving both safety and stability.
At The Ramp Factory, our Outdoor Half Steps are a popular choice thanks to their versatility and suitability for both indoor and outdoor use. The premium PGR surface is highly slip-resistant and features a self-draining design, ensuring safe and reliable use even in wet weather.
We have recently expanded the range with the introduction of an extra-large step measuring 1m x 1m. This larger platform is ideal for users with rollators or walking aids and also provides ample space for placing shopping or belongings while opening the door.
Alongside the new size, we have introduced an adjustable leg kit, allowing the step height to be set up to 185mm. This makes it perfect for higher steps and doorways, or for anyone looking to create a stable, level platform in front of their entrance.
The new higher legs include pre-drilled holes allowing you to secure the step in place where preferred.

Use without feet at 80mm or attach the feet to use at heights between 105mm - 120mm or 125mm - 185mm, depending on your chosen option.
Anti-slip Surface
Full-width PGR anti-slip surface. Open-mesh self-draining design to allow water to go through the step, reducing the risk of slips.
Selection of Sizes
Available in Standard, Large or Extra Large - solutions for those walking, using walking sticks and those using zimmer frames and rollators.
