A rollator is a walking aid designed to support those with disabilities and those recovering from injuries and surgeries.

There are an extensive range of rollators available, including 3-wheel and 4-wheel solutions.

Easy to lift and transport 

It is important the rollator is lightweight to allow you to easily manouvre it, whether you need to lift the rollator over kerbs and doorways or wish to fold the walking aid and store it in the car boot. 

Built-in seat

Seats are perfect for allowing you to rest any time, whether you are waiting for the bus or feel unsteady on your feet and simply need to sit down for 5 minutes. It is important the rollator has parking brakes to allow you to safely park the walker before sitting to prevent it moving when you are seated. 

Improved stability and safety 

The 4-wheeled design provides enhanced stability to users. Height-adjustable, easily obtain a comfortable walking position. Premium rollator models, such as Rehasense and Saljol, also offer the option to have slow-down brakes on the rollator to allow you to adjust it to your walking speed, enhancing control including on hills.

4-wheeled rollators are perfect for use around the home or outdoors. When you plan to use the rollator inside, always check the width is suitable for your doorways. For use on rough ground, we suggest viewing all-terrrain rollators which have larger front wheels to assist you in overcoming obstacles. 

Lightweight folding rollators can be used by various individuals. They are ideal for:

• Seniors who want extra walking support

• Individuals recovering from hip, knee, or back surgery

• People with arthritis or joint pain

• Those with reduced stamina or balance concerns

Rollators should not be used by those with severe balance problems, those who are unable to stand and those with specific medical conditions that affect balance and movement coordination. 

If you are unsure as to whether a rollator is best for you, we suggest speaking to your doctor or Occupational Therapist. 

• Always ensure to load at the recommended load height and within capacity. EU guidelines recommend a maximum gradient of 30% or 1:3.3.
• Rest the ramp onto a flat even surface, for example on a flatbed vehicle, van or step. Ensure the foot (base) of the ramp is resting securely on the ground.
• Secure the ramp to your van or trailer using the safety straps provided.
• Aluminium motorbike ramps should only be used to load motorbikes, quad bikes, ATVs and similar. Do not use the ramp to load tracked machinery such as diggers or items with solid wheels including flight cases as this can damage the ramps and void the warranty.
