Rollator FAQs
Who are rollators useful for?
Rollators assist people with limited mobility by providing support and enhancing balance. They are useful for individuals with arthritis, multiple sclerosis, Parkinson’s disease, or anyone needing extra stability. Rollators boost confidence and independence by supporting movement. Many models include a built-in seat for resting during activities at home or outdoors. Some also feature bags or trays to help transport items like groceries or drinks.
Who should avoid using a rollator?
Rollators are generally not suitable for individuals who have significant balance impairments or severe muscle weakness that prevents them from standing or walking, even with the support of the rollator. In this case we would recommend a wheelchair. If there is uncertainty regarding the appropriateness of a rollator for your specific condition, it is advisable to seek guidance from a medical professional or an Occupational Therapist.
How do you adjust the rollator handle height?
Most rollators have adjustable handles. For the right height, stand next to the rollator; handles should align with your wrists for a comfortable grip.
Can an outdoor rollator be used inside?
Yes, an outdoor rollator can be used indoors. Many people prefer to have a separate rollator for indoor use since indoor rollators tend to be smaller and lighter making it easier to move around in smaller spaces. We do not recommend using indoor rollators outside for safety.
What should I consider when choosing a rollator?
When selecting the best rollator, consider these factors: seat width, handle height, indoor or outdoor use, and whether you need a seat and bag. Decide if you want a seat, backrest, and bag, and determine the necessary seat width and handle height.
How easy is it to use the brakes on a rollator?

What rollator accessories are available?
