What is a mobile yard ramp?
Our mobile yard ramps are used to load and unload shipping containers without having to use a permanent docking bay. The ramps are placed behind the vehicle and allows machines such as forklifts and plant machinery to access the container to unload and load quickly and safely.
How easy are they to put into place?
The ramps have a fixed swivel clamp which allows a forklift to easily move the ramp and put it into place. They are also provided with rubber tyres to help with moving and turning and the height of the ramp can be adjusted with the hydraulic pump. We deliver the ramp ready to use – you just simply unload the ramp using a forklift and start using it!
What is the maximum capacity of the yard ramps?
The Ramp Factory yard ramps are available with capacities of up to 15,000kg. If you require a higher capacity, please contact our customer services team for a customised ramp.
Are the ramps customisable?
As well as higher capacities, we can also customise the ramps in terms of length and widths as well as being provided with handrails.
Are the yard ramps certified?
Yes, they are CE marked and made in Europe.
What are the ramps made from?
They are made from steel and have a mesh, anti-slip surface which ensures perfect grip and safety. This also means they can be used in all-weather conditions.
Are the ramps safe?
The Ramp Factory yard ramps are CE marked. Come with a user manual and 1-year warranty. In addition to this, they have a mesh surface to provide extra grip and can be made with handrails to increase safety. We also provide steel safety chains so the ramps can be secured when being used.
What is the lead time?
Please contact our customer services team for an accurate lead time as this can vary. We sometimes have stock available for immediate dispatch, however, on other occasions there may be a 2-4 week lead time especially if you require customisations.
