What ramp length do I need?
As we have a large variety of models, we ask that you complete our measurement document so we can recommend the most suitable option for your requirements. It is important to ensure the measurements are accurate as the wrong sized ramp will not fit the fan. Please see our measurement document here.
Can the ramps be customised to a specific length/width/capacity?
The Ramp Factory can make folding van ramps to specific requirements – please contact our customer services team for assistance.
Are these suitable for loading wheelchairs?
Yes – we recommend the mesh surface ramps for loading wheelchairs.
What are the benefits of a mesh surface?
Our mesh surfaces are lighter, more grippy and allow water to run through them rather than down. The mesh also allows some visibility through rear windows when folded up. Our mesh surfaces currently only take capacities up to 400kg.
What is the pivoting/twisty system?
This system is a hinge on the bottom of the ramp which allows the system to be turned 90 degrees in or out of the van. This gives quick access without needing to deploy the full ramp.
How is the ramp installed?
The ramps can be fitted by any competent DIYer – please see our fitting guide here.
How easily can the ramps be removed after installation?
They can be removed, however, removing the bolts and brackets can take some time. If you need a more portable ramp, we recommend you purchase our quick release system which allows the base to be swiftly unclipped leaving the brackets in place. Please note, this is not available with the ramps with the pivoting system.
How do I secure the ramps while the vehicle is moving?
The Ramp Factory supplies a pair of straps which secures the ramp in place when the vehicle is moving. If the straps are not used, this could lower the life usage of the range and will void the warranty.
