What to check
Firstly, you will need to measure the vertical height of the doorway or threshold.
Measure the vertical height from the ground to where the ramp will rest, or will bridge over. You will also need to measure the vertical height inside.
We also recommend checking the width of the doorway, especially if it is a narrow doorway.
In addition, consider who will be using the ramp, for example a manual wheelchair, electric wheelchair or walker. Some access ramps are only suitable for certain mobility aids. We also suggest considering whether you wish to leave the ramp in place or move it each time.
